Motocross: Racer  Entry Details/Open Practice Information

 

FEES:  
$30 per class   (Special Events slightly higher)
$12 general admission per day

DOCUMENTATION:   
AMA, District 6 & District 34 cards will be sold at the track  (other district cards accepted if they prove your ranking:  novice, amateur, expert, etc) **There is no AMA or District required for practice days
Important -->   riders under 18 must sign minor release and have parent/guardian present (click).

KEY TIMES: 
Registration 7 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
Rider's Meeting 8:45 a.m.
Practice 9:00 a.m.
Qualifying 11:00 a.m.
Finals 1:00 p.m.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: 
Motocross bike/quad in good operating condition
Silencer must be in place and operating correctly.
No lights (can be taped over)
No kickstands
Certified Helmet (DOT or Snell)
Long sleeve shirt
Boots at least 9 inches high
Eye protection
Gloves

First time racing motocross at Hurricane?  Here's what you can expect:

  1. Just as you enter the track you will pay your general admission fee and declare the number of races you are entering.  You will be given individual receipts for each racing class entered  (so that you can show the registration tower you have already paid for them).
  2. After parking your vehicle, complete the receipts by filling in your personal information and checking off the class you will be riding in each.
  3. Now submit the form(s) at the main tower, the garage door to the rear will be open and the booths ready to process you. 
  4. The actual order of events will be announced when signup is closed.  Be prepared with pen and pencil to write down the race numbers that your class has been assigned to run in.
  5. Mandatory Rider's meeting will be at the Control Tower

 

The following is applicable to Motocross OPEN PRACTICE Days Only:
Fee is $30 per rider.
 (SPECIAL NOTE FOR SATURDAYS ONLY:   in the event a Hurricane racing event is being held on Sunday, a $12 track admission fee will be charged to all open practice riders, and their spectators, upon entry to the track.  However, if the open practice riders and their guests leave the premises by 5 p.m. a refund will be given at the gate as you exit.  See the master schedule to confirm what rules apply to each date.)

No racing documentation is required (as in AMA or District membership).
Racing numbers not required on bikes.
